5 slices of séedless skinless ripe watermelon
(if not ripe add 1 tbsp of sugar to blender)
2 nips tequila
1/2 lime for juice and rim of glass
1 tbsp sugar
Sugar and sea salt for garnish glass
Puree watermelon with a splash of water in the food processor until smooth.
To make the margaritas, add watermelon juice, lime juice, sugar, tequila and a handful of ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously to combine. Sample a small amount and adjust flavour as needed, i.e.: adding more watermelon juice for sweetness, lime juice for acidity, or tequila for strength of alcohol.
Line the rim of 2 serving glasses with lime juice and a mixture of sugar and sea salt (optional). Pour margaritas straight from cocktail shaker into the serving glasses. Enjoy!
