SHAKE THINGS UP WITH POH’S
FESTIVE APPLE FRANGELICO
There’s nothing like a refreshing cocktail to get the festivities started. But preparing a balanced beverage can often feel a little intimidating, especially if you don’t know your way around a shaker. That’s why I’ve put together a quick guide to preparing my Apple Frangelico cocktail, that’s sure to impress.
I’m not much of a drinker but if I decide to indulge it’s always got to have loads of acidity and freshness. This one’s my absolute favourite!
This recipe is for one serve, so multiply by the number of guests and serves required.
60ml cloudy apple juice OR pear nectar
Juice of 2 lime wedges, keeping the used wedges
10 mint leaves, bruised in your hands
60ml soda water
Extra mint for garnishing
Combine all the Apple Frangelico cocktail ingredients in a cocktail shaker except the soda water. Shake well with the lid on until there is condensation on the outside of the shaker. Pour everything into a tumbler then top with the soda water. Some are very particular about having no bits, no ice but I like to keep my drinks super chilled and allow the lime and mint to keep infusing. To finish I love to jam more mint into the glass because there’s no such thing as too minty!
